Tracy E. Ventus serves as a dynamic preacher, compassionate leader, forward-thinker, visionary, author, mentor, trusted counselor, husband to Portia, and father to Brit.  As the Senior Pastor of New Mission Missionary Baptist Church, he has been called to lead the congregation of over 1,000 members for over two decades.  Called to preach from Isaiah 61:1-4, Pastor Ventus has become a true pillar of the Greater Cincinnati Area. With his go-getter persona and enlightened yet unconventional approach to preaching, he leads many outreach projects geared towards fostering great working relationships between the Greater Cincinnati Business Community, New Mission, as well as the Madisonville community to in return bring people closer to Christ. Under his leadership, community involvement in New Mission has increased when Community Prayer Walks, Joint Worship Services with other churches throughout the community, and New Mission’s Reach & Teach Ministry were introduced.

With a passion for service to people which ultimately reflects his love for Christ, in addition to extending a ministry devoted to feeding and blessing those in need, he was able to lead the congregation in an effort to obtain a 501(c)(3) to then utilize that business to become a founding member of Madisonville Mission Ministry or simply 3M – a non-profit organization that directly impacts the housing and development of the Madisonville community in Cincinnati, Ohio. Wanting more for the church and community in general, he worked to becoming a founding member of the local chapter of the nationally recognized Collective Empowerment Group (CEG) -a Christian based business service mecca that builds minority businesses and provides discounted rates for various professional services to members within the CEG network.

As a graduate of Cincinnati Christian University with a Bachelor of Science in Biblical Studies, Pastor Ventus has taken a special interest in approaching the Word of God from various angles. When asked why he chose to further his education later in life, Pastor Ventus exclaims that ‘I wanted to be more proficient in understanding, teaching, and preaching God’s Word!’ Devoted to the practice of healing, his studies, and the years of laborious lessons that he has learned in his work through counseling, Pastor Ventus is currently delving into the writing of his second and third book based off of his experiences with his groundbreaking steps to healing.  In his first book currently in the last phase of editing, Pastor Ventus tackled the need of the church to come back to Christ’s highest illustration of His love for us which is through marriage.

Each time Pastor Ventus sets out to teach, he strives to make the word of God clear to everyone no matter what their level of comprehension may be with his methodical, yet individualistic approach to catering to the needs of the body of Christ. Like Pastor Ventus, his wife Portia shares this same care and need to reach individuals within the community. With her calm and charismatic spirit, Portia volunteers throughout the community with many outreach programs. With their discerning spirits and compassionate hearts, together their hope for the Body of Christ is that all are able to love God and one another without limits as well as; Live in Purpose on Purpose!
