Proverbs 3:5-6 NIV.5 Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding; 6 in all your ways acknowledge him,and he will make your paths straight (New International Version, ©2011)

Have you ever thought about how busy we are? We are busy at our jobs, we are busy in our homes and families, and we are busy in church or social groups. We do this because it is what is expected of us. But what does all that busy-ness really amount to? When you consider the amount of time we spend doing what we think is required or expected of us and then measure that against the amount of time we actually spend with the One who made it possible, it hardly seems worth it.)

 God is so gentle that he stands back and allows us to be busy. He waits hoping that maybe at the end our busy day we will have time for Him, only to discover that we are so tired that we simply don't have time to spend with Him. God simply cradles us in His arms while we sleep. He stands gaurd overs us as we rest and then gently stirs us awake in hopes of catching us early so that He can speak with us. But the alarm clock is glaring and off we go, no prayer, no thank you Lord for watching over us. God steps aside while we rush around and go off to tend to our busy-ness..

 Eventually our busy-ness catches up with us. We catch a cold and have to stay home for a few days. The car breaks down so that we have to put off our extra activities. Now God has your full attention because you need him to restore you. Don't let sickness or distress be the only time you come to God. He wants to be first in our lives. When we fail to acknowledge Him, we fail to get his guidance . How can we expect to live our best lives if we are too busy to spend time with the life giver? God is the source of all good things. Remember to rejuvenate yourself , by praying and praising God. He will keep you and make your busy-ness His business.
